Room Parents

Room Parents play an important role in building a strong connection between teachers and families. They help coordinate class activities, organize volunteers and donations, and serve as a key link between the classroom, grade level team, and PTA.

🎒 What Do Room Parents Do?

Room Parent duties typically include:

  • Sending monthly emails to class parents with updates on class events, field trips, volunteer needs, and teacher gifts

  • Creating and managing SignUp Genius forms for class parties and donations

  • Organizing group teacher gifts for holidays, birthdays, and Teacher Appreciation Week (including collecting contributions and handling purchases/assembly)

  • Providing classroom support as needed (making copies, helping with special projects, assisting during events, etc.)

Most classes have at least two Room Parents who share the responsibilities throughout the year.
