We’re thrilled to welcome you and your little Dolphin to the Davis community! Starting Pre-K or Kindergarten is a big milestone, and we’re here to make the transition smooth, fun, and welcoming for both students and families.

New to Davis in another grade? You’re absolutely welcome here, too! While these events are designed for Pre-K and Kinder, you’ll still find helpful info and a friendly community ready to support you.

🛝 Incoming Pre-K & Kindergarten Playdates

These casual meetups are a great way for families to connect and help children build friendships before the school year begins!

Tuesday, August 4th | 12:30-2:00 PM | Aviator Pizza

• Pizzas will be provided for the Kindergarteners who attended Kinder Camp
• Parents and siblings are welcome; food and drinks will be available for individual purchase

✏️ Kinder Camp

Tuesday, August 4 | 9 AM–12 PM | Davis Elementary

This morning session with kindergarten teachers gives incoming kindergarten students a sneak peek into the classroom, fun activities, and recess time! Registration details will be sent to families after completing all enrollment requirements.

2026-2027 Back-to-School Events

Thursday, August 13 | 4:30–6:00 PM
Meet your child’s teacher, drop off supplies, grab Davis spirit gear, and cool down with ice cream!

💦 Splash Into Davis: Welcome to Kinder Pool Party

Saturday, August 15 | 10 AM–12 PM | Balcones Woods Neighborhood Pool

Celebrate the end of summer with new kinder friends at the Balcones Woods Neighborhood Pool (11204 Alhambra Dr, Austin, TX 78759)! This event is for kindergarten families only.

😭 Boo-Hoo / Ya-Hoo Parent Reception

Tuesday, August 18 (First Day of School) | 7:45–8:15 AM | Davis Meadow

All new Davis parents are invited to our annual Boo-Hoo/Ya-Hoo Reception after drop-off. Meet other parents under the oak tree in the meadow—just look for the table with balloons and tissues! Light refreshments will be served.
