We’re thrilled to welcome you and your little Dolphin to the Davis community! Starting Pre-K or Kindergarten is a big milestone, and we’re here to make the transition smooth, fun, and welcoming for both students and families.

New to Davis in another grade? You’re absolutely welcome here, too! While these events are designed for Pre-K and Kinder, you’ll still find helpful info and a friendly community ready to support you.

🔎 Davis Discovery Day

Thursday, April 2 | 9:45 AM – 12 PM | Davis Elementary

Join us to discover what it’s like to be a Davis Dolphin! This fun-filled morning gives incoming Pre-K and Kindergarten families a chance to explore the campus, meet staff, and get a feel for the school community.

If your child is currently in Pre-K at Davis, you're welcome to check them out of class so they can join the fun and meet other future Davis Dolphins.

Activities include:

• Registration assistance
• Art, Music, and PE experiences
• Story time in the library
• Campus tour (led by Davis students)
• Brunch in the cafeteria
• Kindergarten signing table
• Photo op
• Davis swag

What to Bring:

• Government-issued ID for check-in
• Your own meal — or purchase a school lunch for $5.25 (cash only, exact change appreciated)
• Water bottle

🚗 Parking: Park in the Davis Elementary Front Lot (Duval entrance). Overflow parking is available at the Austin Taiwanese Presbyterian Church next door — use the pedestrian gate for access.

🛝 Incoming Pre-K & Kindergarten Playdates

These casual meetups are a great way for families to connect and help children build friendships before the school year begins!

Playground Playdates @ Davis Playground

• Sunday, March 29 | 2–4 PM
• Sunday, April 19 | 2–4 PM

Family Pod Picnic @ Nearby Park (TBD)

• Sunday, May 17 | 11 AM–1 PM

Playground Meetup Notes:
