Room Parents play an important role in supporting the teacher all year long – coordinating activities, sourcing volunteers & donations, communicating key grade level and classroom needs to class parents, as well as supplementing some PTA communications.
Duties includes sending monthly emails to class parents for grade level & class parties, field trips, classroom needs and teacher gifts; SignUp Genius creation; teacher holiday, birthday & appreciation gifts (money collection & purchasing/assembly); and classroom assistance as needed (copies, special projects, parties, etc).
Many classes have at least two Room Parents who divide responsibilities.

We recruit Room Parent and Grade-Level Coordinator volunteers at the beginning of every school year, both through our Volunteer Opportunities Form during Online Open House, as well as classroom sign-up sheets during our annual Ice Cream Social/Meet the Teacher event.
